The Faculty of Nursing was established as a department in the Faculty of Medical Sciences in 1992; and started as independent college in 2006.

Faculty of Nursing Objectives

1. Excellence in scientific research, creativity projects and academic scholarship.

2. Develop the study plan for students to be consistent with the Standards and Accreditation.

3. Be effective participants in local community services.

 

Curriculum Goal and Objectives:

The goal of this program is to prepare the graduate to practice nursing with adequate competences & professional skills

Objectives:

The graduate of this program will be able to:

1. Integrates professional values and behaviors in caring for individuals and population according to Nursing Codes of Ethics.

2. Integrates the nursing knowledge and skills in the delivery of health care.

3. Synthesizes knowledge from arts and sciences in the practice of professional nursing.

4. Utilizes research findings and evidence based practice in improving the quality of nursing care.

Objective Number One:

Identify the professional values and behaviors.

Year II

Demonstrate professional values and behaviors while caring for an individuals, families and adult population.

Demonstrate professional values and behaviors while caring for neonate, children & adult population.

Integrates professional values and behaviors in delivery of health care for individuals, families & communities.
